Frequently asked questions
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Only PDFs with selectable text. Scans are images of text and need OCR, which isn’t included.
Is the formatting kept?
Line breaks are kept, but fonts, tables and images aren’t, because the output is plain text. For an editable document with headings and bold text, use PDF to Word.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The text is extracted in your browser.
